Let’s Take the First Step — Together

Today, I travelled across Delhi with my 80-year-young father.
To make the trip comfortable, I chose to take an auto instead of my own car or the metro.
Here’s how the costs stacked up:
🚇 Metro: ₹150 (round trip)
🚗 Own Car: ₹500 (fuel + parking hassle)
🛺 Auto: ₹700
So, a journey that could’ve been done for ₹150 cost me ₹700 — and I was completely fine with that.
Why? Because I paid extra for comfort and convenience.
Now, let’s relate this to investing 👇
Just like travel, investing offers multiple routes to the same destination (your goal) — each with its own cost and comfort level.
…………………………………..
🛺 High-risk, high-reward funds = Auto ride
You may reach faster — historically delivering around 30–35% p.a. — but you pay more in volatility.
🚗 Balanced or Hybrid funds = Own car
Moderate speed — typically 15–20% p.a. over the last few years — with manageable risk.
🚇 Conservative or Index funds = Metro
Slower — around 10–12% p.a. historically — but reliable and consistent.
…………………………………..
There’s no single “best” route — it depends on your risk comfort, time horizon, and life stage.
👉 The key is to understand what you’re paying for.
In investing, the “extra cost” isn’t in rupees — it’s in risk.
🪙 Comfort costs. Patience pays.

📉 Past performance may or may not be sustained in the future. Choose your route wisely.
